Paris Flea Market Shopping Adventure

 April 29 - May 5, 2009

                                    Presented by Riverside Travel and Red Shed Antiques
 
Wednesday, (Day 1)
 
        Depart from US
        Fly overnight to Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport.
 
Thursday, (Day 2)
 
Morning           Arrive at airport, clear customs and claim luggage.

You will be greeted by an English speaking driver for Private Transfers to the personality filled Hotel Littre’. A Dayroom will be available for group members to secure bags, freshen up, and relax.

 
Explore Paris until check-in time and as other group members arrive. Stroll the streets of St. Germain des Pres, the neighborhood around the hotel. Shopping in the perfumeries (perfume shops), patisseries (pastry shops), and antiquaries (antique shops). Use your included Metro Passes to visit Notre Dame or the Louvre!
 
Midday            Enjoy lunch at one of the many quaint neighborhood cafes.
 
Afternoon        Check into hotel rooms, rest and relax. (or continue to explore!)
 
6 p.m.              Join us at the Hotel Littré for a Welcome Cocktail Party.
 
Evening           Dinner is on your own. As you will be tired, we suggest you try the superb (and reasonable) room service from the excellent chefs of the hotel, and an early bedtime. Open your windows to catch a Spring Parisian breeze.
 
Friday, (Day 3)
 
7:30 a.m.         Up early for a hearty Breakfast at the Hotel
 
8:30 a.m.         Meet in the hotel lobby to begin our Private Tour of Paris. Our private driver and guide will take us to some of Paris’s famous landmarks such as Concorde Square and the Louvre Museum. We’ll stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and have a photo opportunity at the Eiffel tower. We will also visit Invalides and the Paris Ópera. This tour will reveal the highlights of this glamorous city, ending around noon.
 
Afternoon        Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Free time to shop the unique boutiques close to the hotel, return to your favorite historical landmarks or gardens to spend more time. How about a Segway tour?
 
6:30 p.m.         Meet in the hotel bar for an Orientation Lecture on the renowned “Marché aux Puces” flea market, given by our Parisian shopping expert and guide. With over 500 shops, you will want to know how to best spend your time!
 
8:00 p.m.         Fabulous Group Dinner at the beautiful Montparnasse 1900 restaurant.
 
 
 
 
 
Saturday, (Day 4)
 
7:00 a.m.         Breakfast at the Hotel
 
8:00 a.m.         Meet in the lobby for private transfers to the Paris Flea Market, Marché aux Puces, the most famous flea market in the world!
A private, English and French speaking guide and shopping expert will join us and be available to aid in translation, negotiation, and shipping questions. You do NOT have to stay with the group, but are free to explore and enjoy!
 
4:00 p.m.         Private Shuttle will carry us back to the hotel with our treasures!
 
Evening           Dinner and evening at leisure.
 
Sunday, (Day 5)
 
7:00 a. m.        Breakfast at Hotel
 
8:00 a.m.         Meet in lobby for private transfer to the Vanves Flea Market. Buy Parisian antiques from the back of trucks and vans lining the street…too much fun!
 
1:00 p.m.         Meet for private transfer back to the hotel
 
Afternoon &    At your leisure to explore, shop, and dine
May we suggest an optional walking tour of the exciting "Latin Quarter"?
Evening
 
Monday, (Day 6)
 
7:00 a.m.         Breakfast at Hotel
 
8:00 a.m.         Depart on Metro for a 2½ hour walking tour of Montmartre, our private guide will meet us. See Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart Cathedral), the artists’ square of La Boheme, and the best bird’s eye view of Paris. More antique and fabric stores to explore!
 
                        Spend as much time as you would like and return to hotel at leisure via Metro.
 
Afternoon        At Leisure. May we suggest a chocolate shop tour?
 
7 p.m.              Meet in the lobby for a private transfer to the Pier by the Eiffel Tower. Paris is called the City of Lights, and you will see why as we enjoy a Paris Illuminations Cruise and Deluxe Farewell Dinner. We will leisurely float down the Seine while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Drinks, live music and even dancing are included! Let’s kick up our heals a little for our last night in Paris.
 
11:30 p.m.       Private Shuttle back to the hotel.
 
Tuesday, (Day 7)
 
Morning           Breakfast at the hotel
 
                        Transfers back to Charles DeGaulle airport for the return flight home.
               
                        Au Revoir! Until we meet Again!
 
 

Paris Flea Market Adventure 2009 Tour Price is:

$2760.00 Per Person Double Occupancy

$3555.00 Per Person Single Occupancy

 
We will try to arrange for a roommate for those who wish to go double but do not have a traveling companion.
 
To make a reservation:
Please send a $500.00 check, non-refundable deposit with your tour contract form, printed here, or requested by  fax, email, or mail. Remaining payment schedule will be advised. Reservations will be accepted first come, first serve and remainder will be waitlisted or an additional tour may be established. Tour is based on a minimum of 10 participants and some tour components may change if there are less than 10 participants. 
 
Included in the tour price:
Transfers to and from the airport, flea markets, and cruise. Hotel room for 5 nights, and single day room for group use on first day for early arrival. Tour costs of Paris and Montmartre group tours, guides, and activities as outlined. Welcome Cocktail Party and Deluxe River Cruise.
 
Meals & Beverages included:
Daily full hearty buffet breakfast, coffee and juice at the Hotel. Group Dinner w drinks, Dinner & Drinks with Farewell Cruise. No other meals or beverages are included in tour price.
 
Also included:
Metro Passes, Group Escorts (The Red Shed Girls!), Private French speaking shopping guide, Private orientation and Pre-Party before we leave, and surprise gifts on arrival!
 
The tour does not include additional meals, phone calls or incidentals charged to hotel room. The tour does not include meals, admission costs or transportation, beyond Metro Pass, that guest may choose during leisure time.
 
Airfare:
Tour price does not include airfare, taxes or airport fees. Riverside Travel will make arrangements for airfare, or frequent flyer reservations for a nominal service fee.
 
Additional Days:
Those who wish to add additional days or destinations on to their itinerary may do so. Riverside Travel will be happy to make suggestions for your extended stay
 
Health Requirements:
Though we have included many private transfers for your comfort and convenience, Paris is a WALKING city, truly best seen by foot. There will be a lot of walking involved in the flea markets and some tours. There is a lot of walking and STAIRS involved in taking the Paris Metro. Please review the itinerary carefully to determine if it is best for you, and bring comfortable walking shoes!
